What is Computer?
Computer is a device which works very speedily. Mathematical and logical calculations can be done and information can be stored in it. Stored information can be accessed back and any process on that information can be done precisely and quickly. Mainly three processes are done in computer. Computer is a device which analyzes the stored information or detail and gives instant output after processing on it.

History of Computer
Computer is mainly used for calculation and storing information. Now let us get information when and where computer was invented which is used everywhere now. In ancient times, wooden sticks where used for calculations. After that ABACUS was invented for calculation.

ABACUS :
ABACUS is a mathematical machine which is used for performing mathematical calculation in different parts of Asia. In recent times, ABACUS can be seen as wooden frame in which beads placed on a metal wire. But in ancient times, it was used as rolling stone, seed or metal marbles in sand. It was invented in china.
Napier Bones:
In 1617, Napier Bones was invented by sir John Napier. 11 sticks were used in it. It was used for addition, Subtraction, multiplication or division.
Slide Rule
Slide Rule was invented in 1620 in Germany by William Oughtred. It was based on logarithm approach. Generally it was used for addition and subtraction.
Baise Pascal
French mathematician and psychologist Blaise Pascal presented Mechanical Theory in 1645. The machine invented by him was known as Innovative Gadget and it gain a huge success in mathematical field.In 1671, German mathematician Gottfried Leibniz transformed the Pascal approach. He invented computer machine. This machine was able to perform multiplication and division. In 1802, Joseph Marie Jacquard of France invented machine to calculate yarn of fabric easily. This machine was made up of brushed of wire which contains holes. By passing yarn through these holes and weaving was done.
